In my twenty years of involvement in the fitness and bodybuilding industry, I have learned to appreciate the importance of mental and physical fitness. Physical exercise is the path to a healthy body, muscular tone, bone strength, cardio endurance and a general feeling of wellness in mind and body.  A by-product of promoting health is that exercise helps enhance self confidence, self esteem and motivation.

 

My goal is to continue to help others by providing nutrition information and personal training services which include hands-on training and personalized workout routines. From figure competitors to competitive bodybuilders to marathon runners, I can help you attain the conditioning that is required to come in at your best!

Billijon “BJ” has been a fitness enthusiast for over 23 years and considers his career as a Personal Trainer his dream job.  He is in constant pursuit of continuing education, certification and training to be the best at what he does.

Personality traits such as patient, disarming, attentive and thorough are common testimonial descriptions from his clients.  These qualities are ideally suited for the beginner client, private ‘in-home’ services and those in need of injury rehabilitation. 

EXPERIENCE AND CREDENTIALS

In addition to over 24 years of practical experience in personal fitness pursuits, BJ has been trained in Corrective Exercise and Lifestyle Coaching at the distinguished C.H.E.K. Institute in San Diego, CA.  He has also logged extensive hours ‘shadowing’ various health care professionals during real-time therapy sessions.

BJ’s methods focus on identifying and correcting orthopedic imbalances with particular attention to the core and spine (posture).  In addition, he ensures proper functional strength and conditioning programs are prescribed specifically for each client’s unique needs and fitness goals.  As part of a comprehensive approach to wellness, long term clients receive on-going lifestyle guidance.  Attaining sustainable results from the inside out is fundamental to his principals as a professional.  BJ also believes in empowering his clients by educating them thoroughly on the physiology and biomechanics behind the exercises and recommendations they are given.   

In addition, BJ’s coaching philosophy is one of leading by example.  Everyday he lives what he preaches.  His greatest fulfillment is passing on that knowledge and seeing the profound transformation his client’s experience.
